(#1 rated guide)

Energy2Green is a DIY energy kit that is making a pretty extraordinary claim in this fossil fueled age: having made green energy earthling and earth friendly. Whether you've never even imagined doing the unthinkable and having your power company pay your, or you're raring to rip up that last bill and send it to the curb by going off grid, this down to earth solar and wind power guide will enable you to get off the solar/wind sidelines and start scoring green energy savings without spending big wads of green.

What makes Energy2Green's earth energy (solar and wind) system so down to earth? Well, it all seems to come from the top to bottom emphasis on giving you the fewest amount of pieces and clear written, illustrated (pictures and video) directions on where to put each one. Originally designed in a University science department to make solar and wind available to all, and later tested on a high school class to validate its success, Tomas Hayne's kit hit its target by making sure that the pieces involved in the often puzzling DIY energy puzzle, which he shows you how to source for pennies on the dollar from anywhere, are a few, widely available and inexpensive as possible (under $200 for a panel that would otherwise cost you thousands).
Another nice feature of this guide, one that you won't find in even its best competition, is its emphasis on shrinking your DIY energy project down to size by making sure you can't cut your power bill with no-brainer techniques that are cheaper and less involved than implementing solar and wind. I also really liked the section on protecting your investment in free energy so it lasts a lifetime, with minimal and almost free maintenance.

When you come right down to it, any Energy2Green review that doesn't put this guide into the same conversation of the upper echelon of DIY guides, simply hasn't viewed its stunning quality, depth and breadth of guidance or has something to hide. It isn't just a roadmap for the uninformed, but it's a lifetime journey for the DIYer, it's instructions offering room to grow into whatever level of energy freedom you wish.

The one thing that might make Energy2Green incomplete is a small but invaluable one: a regularly updated rebates and incentives guide as included in our top rated product Earth4Energy. I also like Earth4Energy's clarity of instruction over Energy2Green's, which can get a little detail-happy (not complicated though). Having said that Energy2Green really can't be outmatched when it comes to its sheer ability to get people saving as much money as possible green energy, for the least amount of green money as possible. My #2 choice overall.
